Harrison C. Putman III, M.D. is a distinguished leader in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Putman has devoted his practice to facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and regularly performs such procedures as rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, face and neck lift, endoscopic forehead and brow lift, liposuction, fat transfer, otoplasty, skin cancer reconstruction, scar revision and hair transplantation. He also has a particularly strong interest in the application of laser and light-based technologies, as well as other state of the art techniques for skin rejuvenation. He is exceedingly accomplished in the art of injectable fillers, as well as the administration of neurotoxins, such as Botox Cosmetic and Dysport.
Dr. Putman is board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is an active fellow with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is also a member of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery.
Dr. Putman’s education includes a Bachelor of Science from the University of Notre Dame, and his Medical Degree from Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. His residency training in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is also from Tulane University Medical Center and affiliated hospitals in New Orleans, Louisiana. He has hospital appointments at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Methodist Medical Center and Proctor Hospital, as well as Peoria Day Surgery Center. His current academic appointments include Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria, Illinois, as well as Associate Clinical Professor and Instructor in Facial Plastic Surgery in the Department of Otolaryngology, SIU Medical Center, in Springfield, Illinois. Dr Putman has served on the Board of Directors of the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and continues to serve as a member of the Credentials Committee, and as a Senior Advisor and oral examiner. He is also serving his second term on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, most recently as Treasurer Elect. He has been an active faculty participant and course instructor in the meetings of the AAFPRS, including the International meetings held every 4 years. He is the recipient of the Community Service Award and the Distinguished Service Award from the AAFPRS, and the Larry D Schoenrock Award from the ABFPRS. He has been an active participant in the pro bono programs of the AAFPRS, and also serves on the Board of the St. Jude Midwest Affiliate in Peoria, Illinois
