Stephen P. Smith, Jr., M.D.
Stephen P. Smith, Jr., M.D. comes from a family of plastic surgeons in Ohio. After high school, he earned his college degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia where he majored in Architecture and minored in Art History.
Dr. Smith was always an excellent student as demonstrated by his medical training at The Ohio State University College of Medicine from which he graduated summa cum laude in 2001. He also served as the president of the AOA Medical Honor Society at OSU.
After graduation, he completed a year-long internship in surgery at Mt. Carmel Health in Columbus, OH as well as and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. During his residency, he received the Medical Director’s Citizenship Award.
Dr. Smith’s educational background in architecture and art history lead him to a career in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. To this end, he completed a fellowship with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) under the guidance of Dr. Edwin F. Williams, III in Latham, NY.
Today, Dr. Smith is a leading facial plastic surgeon in Columbus who specializes in a variety of plastic surgery procedures as well non-invasive procedures such as Botox and Juvederm. He also specializes in facelift, neck lift and other facial procedures, but one of his most popular surgical procedures is rhinoplasty or the surgical reshaping of the nose.
