Some commonly performed cosmetic procedures he offers include rhinoplasty, or surgery of the nose, facelift surgery, or rhytidectomy, blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, and forehead lifts, or brow lifts.
Rhinoplasty, or surgery of the nose, can be performed for both cosmetic and functional reasons. The nose can be improved aesthetically by increasing or decreasing its size or by altering other aspects of the nose such as the nostrils, the bridge or the tip. In addition, some breathing problems can be improved through rhinoplasty.
Facelift surgery, or rhytidectomy, can rejuvenate the face by treating loose skin, lines and creases on the lower face and neck. During the surgery, the underlying muscle and connective tissue are repositioned and tightened, and excess fat and skin are removed. Because there are many different options available in facelift surgery, a consultation with Dr. Ducic can help you to decide on the best approach to suit your needs.
Blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, is a procedure designed to improve the aging appearance of the eyes. The surgery can treat loose or hanging skin of the upper eyelids as well as puffy bags of the lower eyelids. Dr. Ducic performs two types of blepharoplasty procedures: the traditional blepharoplasty and the transconjunctival blepharoplasty. With the traditional approach, an incision is made in the crease of the upper eyelid and along the lash line of the lower eyelid, through which excess fat and skin may be removed. The transconjunctival approach is performed on the lower eyelids only and involves a hidden incision located inside of the lower eyelid, through which excess fat alone is removed.
Forehead lifts , or brow lifts, are performed to raise the eyebrows and improve the appearance of ridges and furrows along the forehead. The brow area is left smoother and more youthful in appearance. This procedure can be performed as an endoscopic procedure which allows for minimal scarring and improved healing.
