CME ACCREDITATION & CREDIT DESIGNATION

The Educational and Research Foundation for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS Foundation) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. 

The AAFPRS Foundation designates this live activity for a maximum of 32.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers should claim only the credits commensurate with the extent of their participation in this activity.  Physicians also have the option to receive MOC credits towards your ABOHNS certification requirements when completing the CME evaluation.
  • The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) accepts attendance at educational activities approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ for recertification. 
  • The American Academy of Physicians Assistants (AAPA) accepts attendance at educational activities from organizations accredited by the Accreditation Council on Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).
  • The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.

HOW TO CLAIM CME
Continuing Medical Education (CME) Certificates are available to registered attendees who complete a brief evaluation through the AAFPRS CONNECT Portal; instructions for claiming CME will be emailed to attendees after the meeting. TARGET AUDIENCE
 This activity is designed to meet the clinical and professional education needs of practicing physicians, residents, advanced practice providers, and front office staff, who work in the fields of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Aesthetic Medicine, Dermatology, Oculoplastic Surgery, Maxillofacial Surgery, and Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, as well as for healthcare professionals involved in surgical and non-surgical treatments used to restore, enhance and rejuvenate the face. It is intended for physicians, and other health care professionals who are interested in translating expanded knowledge into practice for the improvement of patient care and outcomes. The clinical and scientific program is developed for physicians and advanced practice providers, at all experience levels and covers aesthetic, reconstructive and congenital issues related to this specialty.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be better able to effectively: 
  • Evaluate contemporary rhinoplasty techniques across primary and revision cases to improve surgical planning as well as functional and aesthetic outcomes.
  • Identify appropriate use of preservation and structural rhinoplasty techniques for varying nasal anatomies and patient goals.
  • Apply contemporary reconstructive strategies for facial defects, facial paralysis, and nasal reconstruction to improve functional outcomes, aesthetic restoration, and patient quality of life.
  • Apply advanced facial rejuvenation techniques to improve safety and optimize long-term aesthetic results.
  • Design and implement multimodal treatment plans to improve aesthetic results. Assess the risks and benefits of exosomes and regenerative therapies for skin restoration.
  • Provide gender-affirming surgical care to transgender and gender-diverse patients using evidence-based practices.
  • Integrate emerging research into clinical practice to improve outcomes in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
  • Evaluate safety and efficacy of ultrasound, lasers, and energy-based devices in aesthetic procedures.
  • Assess the safety, efficacy, and clinical applications of ultrasound, laser, and energy-based devices in aesthetic procedures to optimize treatment planning and enhance patient outcomes.
  • Perform injectable treatments safely to reduce complications and improve patient outcomes.
  • Apply innovative business, marketing, and AI strategies to enhance practice growth and patient experience.
