Resident Division

FACE TO FACE (FTF) has been very successful in facilitating humanitarian trips for AAFPRS members to provide care to those in need, both domestic and abroad. Many residents are eager to attend such experiences but often do not have faculty at their institution engaged in humanitarian efforts, let alone FTF specifically, to encourage participation, share upcoming opportunities, and address any questions or concerns related to humanitarian trips for the potential beginner.

MISSION

The FACE TO FACE Resident Division will serve as a centralized resource for resident physicians seeking detailed information about FTF, how to get involved in humanitarian trips through FTF, and how to prepare for upcoming experiences with practical advice provided by residents with prior humanitarian experience. Additionally, the goal is to create a community where lifelong collaborative connections are made. This can be with other residents and with more senior FTF members who can offer mentorship on cultivating a Facial Plastic Surgery career centered on giving back.
