Originally from South Florida and graduating with a biomedical engineering degree from the University of Miami, Dr. Josh Surowitz attended medical school at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, where he distinguished himself by receiving Heusner Pupil Award by his peers. Surowitz then finished a five-year residency in Head and Neck Surgery at UNC, where they bestowed upon him the William Shockley Silver Owl award for excellence in teaching and the Mark C. Weissler Iron Man award for his tireless efforts.
Following residency, he was accepted into one of the top fellowships in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. He received extensive training in the full breadth of facial plastic surgery including facelift, rhinoplasty, hair transplantation, and minimally invasive surgical and non-surgical rejuvenation, injectables and laser treatments.
Dr. Josh Surowitz is also active in the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, serving as a member of multiple committees related to trends in technology, research, and community outreach to combat domestic abuse. He has also served as a peer-reviewer for JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery.
