The Educational and Research Foundation for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS Foundation) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. 

The AAFPRS Foundation designates this live activity for a maximum of 25.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Creditsâ„¢. Physicians should claim only the credits commensurate with the extent of their participation in this activity. 

You will also have the option to receive MOC credits towards your ABOHNS certification requirements via the CME evaluation.

This activity is designed to meet the clinical and professional education needs of surgeons, residents, fellows-in-training, and advanced care providers, in the fields of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Aesthetic Medicine, Dermatology, Oculoplastic Surgery, Maxillofacial Surgery, and Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, as well as for healthcare professionals involved in surgical and non-surgical treatments used to restore, enhance and rejuvenate the face. The clinical and scientific program is developed for physicians at all experience levels and covers aesthetic, reconstructive and congenital issues related to this specialty.

Learning Objectives 
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be better able to effectively: 

  • Discuss the principles and fundamentals of Rhinoplasty and recognize how these principles impact patient care.
  • Determine when it is most appropriate to apply preservation rhinoplasty or structural rhinoplasty techniques.
  • Recognize the pros and cons of using surgical and non-surgical Facial Rejuvenation procedures and apply these techniques to different patients and clinical situations.
  • Summarize the benefits of using ultrasound, lasers and other energy-based devices during cosmetic procedures. 
  • Identify and evaluate the similarities and differences between various dermal fillers and identify the right product for the right patient condition.
  • Translate expanded knowledge into practice for the improvement of patient safety, outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Consider incorporating new business, marketing, and social media strategies into your practice.
  • Identify ways that AI can benefit your practice.
