CODE OF CONDUCT

Code of Conduct/Anti-Harassment Policy
This event is convened for the purpose of professional development and to facilitate collaboration, the exchanging of ideas, sharing of best practices, and, ultimately, improving patient outcomes.

The Educational and Research Foundation for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS Foundation) is committed to providing an educational and harassment-free environment for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, disability, physical appearance, ethnicity, religion or other group identity.

The AAFPRS Foundation requires that all participants–including, but not limited to, members, officers, registered attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, staff, contractors, and volunteers–conduct themselves in a
professional manner that is free from any form of discrimination, harassment, intimidation, violence, or retaliation. Participants agree to treat each other with respect and consideration to create and ensure a collegial, inclusive, safe, and professional environment.

This Code of Conduct/Anti-Harassment Policy is based on a firm belief in the value of civil discourse and the free exploration of competing ideas and concepts–with a fundamental respect for the rights, dignity and value of all persons. It outlines expectations for all those who attend or participate in AAFPRS Foundation meetings.

The AAFPRS Foundation seeks to provide a conference environment in which participants may learn, network and enjoy the company of colleagues in an environment of mutual human respect. We recognize this is a shared responsibility and remind participants that all professional ethics and norms apply as standards of behavior and interaction at this meeting/event.
