Health and Safety | Assumption of Risk
The AAFPRS Foundation is pleased to host its Annual Meeting and Spring Meeting as in-person events. While we will make reasonable efforts to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19 and other communicable diseases on site, we cannot guarantee that attendees will not be exposed to or infected with COVID-19 or other similar communicable diseases as a result of attending our meetings.
- The AAFPRS Foundation strongly encourages all attendees to be tested for COVID prior to traveling to the meeting, even if fully vaccinated.
- We also encourage all eligible meeting participants to be fully vaccinated and boosted prior to traveling to this meeting.
- By registering for this meeting, you agree that you will not attend if you are experiencing, or within 10 days prior to the event have experienced, signs or symptoms of COVID-19. You also agree not attend if you believe you may have been exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and are not yet cleared as non-contagious by state or local public health authorities or the health care team responsible for your treatment.
- By registering for this event, you acknowledge and understand the inherent risk of exposure to and/or the contraction or illness from infectious diseases including, but not limited to COVID-19. You recognize that attendance at this meeting is not mandatory and you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and/or other communicable diseases.
- You agree that you will take necessary precautions while at the event including, but not limited to, engaging in appropriate social distancing, wearing a mask when requested and/or required, minimize face touching, frequently washing hands and avoiding risky environments such as overcrowded bars or restaurants.
- Furthermore, you acknowledge that travel to and attendance at large gatherings involves inherent health risks. By registering for an AAFPRS Foundation event, you agree to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local public health requirements and assume responsibility for your own well-being and that of your guest(s), including the risk of exposure to COVID-19 and other communicable diseases.
