It is an honor to be elected as president of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery by my peers. I will continue the mission of outgoing president Dr. William H. Truswell, in particular, his efforts in reinforcing the AAFPRS code of ethics and continuing to educate the public in seeking qualified, trained and experienced facial plastic surgeons for their needs—whether those needs are surgical or non-surgical. Education and preparation for the future generations of facial plastic surgeons is a high priority for this term and I hope to emphasize the importance of staying true to our roots and serving the public.

I have devoted my career to facial plastic surgery, and over the past 30 years, I have dedicated myself to the pursuit of excellence in this field.

As AAFPRS President, I will closely collaborate with other “core specialties” in the cosmetic surgery field to ensure high treatment standards for patients. I will also continue development of AAFPRS’ outstanding educational programs, partner with industry on research efforts, and continue the organization’s humanitarian efforts through foreign medical missions, surgical assistance for victims of domestic violence and our wounded U.S. armed service personnel.
