2025 AAFPRS Nominations and National Elections

Pursuant to Article XI, Section 1 of the AAFPRS Bylaws, the 2025 Nominating Committee hereby presents the below report to the AAFPRS Membership. The following members have been nominated to be placed on the 2025 AAFPRS Election Ballot, under the below open positions (individuals are listed under each open position in alphabetical order):

President-elect (one elected position to be filled)

2025 AAFPRS Elections Packet

Check back in August for the 2025 AAFPRS Elections packet that will assist you in becoming familiar with the candidates. A print version of the packet will mail to the AAFPRS eligible voting members without email addresses. Please take the time in advance of voting to review the candidates so you can cast your votes and fulfill one of the most important actions you can take as an Academy member.

Diversity, equity, engagement and transparency are important to the AAFPRS Board of Directors to ensure that a variety of voices within the membership are represented in the leadership.

 

Nomination and Election Dates
  • January 16: the call for 2025 AAFPRS Elected Leadership Position Recommendations opens
  • February 25: the call for the 2025 AAFPRS Elected Leadership Position Recommendations closes
  • May 1: AAFPRS Nominating Committee report distributed to voting members
  • June 1: Additional nominations for the various offices may be made with prior written consent of the nominees by one or more written petitions signed by at least five percent of the voting members in good standing received by the secretary
  • August 1: Notice of additional nominees mailed to the membership
  • September 20: 2025 AAFPRS Business Meeting held during the 2025 AAFPRS Annual Meeting

Additional nominations for the various offices my be made with prior written consent of the nominees by one or more written petitions signed by at least five percent of the voting members in good standing received by the secretary by June 1 prior to the Annual Meeting:

  • 5 percent of the voting membership is currently at least 59 voting members in good standing.

As per our Academy Bylaws, only individuals who are in the Member, Fellow, Retired (Member/Fellow) or Emeritus (Member/Fellow) membership categories are eligible to vote, and must be in good standing/current with 2025 dues.

Our Deepest Appreciation

The AAFPRS Board of Directors and Staff extends their deep appreciation to all members who propose themselves or another for an open elected leadership position, candidates who agree to run for office, members who generously volunteer their time, and to all members who vote. Voting in the elections is one of the most important responsibilities a member can take. We also thank the AAFPRS Nominating Committee for the diligence and time they undertake to recommend a qualified slate of candidates.
